Wouldn't selling up in 2008 to sit out the crash have been the equivalent of throwing money on a fire?
  • selling something useful is never that clever. Is what you do with the cash that matters, the BOE has delibrately undermined the tradational lending system in favour of allowing mortages to continue no matter what

Unfortunately that means low business growth but its a subsidy for owning and using a home, unless you prefer tents I cant see the point of holding paper cash

You've got a point actually. The thread should stay as it elloquently illustrates the downright vile greed and nastiness all of the HPC goons wished on our hardworking families. We should never forget this hatred they showed for their fellow man, woman, and child.

Yes but now we have years to pay them back.

Every day of their lives is going to be spent in bitterness.
Most of HPC group are not in a position to buy. EVER.

Low wage earners, unemployed and the lazy all throw their lot in over there.

None of the people on there now are even credit worthy. I expect the government pays their rent anyway. They just want decent hardworking people in the same boat.

Invite them round for a house party and tell them how much your place has gone up.

We lost a couple of battles over the last few years but homeowners won the war.

I am neither a low wage earner, unemployed nor the lazy but I have some sympathies with those unable to buy because of the ridiculous cost of housing, trapped in the insecurity of rented accommodation to line the pockets of those who, like many on this forum, seem to rub their hands in glee at the money they make.

I've never heard such pathetic schoolboy drivel from those on here who seem to get a kick out of denigrating members of another forum. I can only guess you are not children because of the supposed wealth and property you claim to own, but if it wasn't for that I'd assume you were children.

I'll leave you to your puerile utterings, back slapping each other about how much you've made and how much better you are than those less financially astute (or prepared to put so much effort into greed for their own benefit) and say thank goodness not all mankind is like this.

Some things are cheaper then ever yet the price is higher. I never thought prices would drop especially but I cant see the bottom is in as such.
Its hard to see because its upto the wage earners to determine value not the government or BOE with its false ceiling to interest rates with QE.
It'll be about people who earn hard currency more then the borrowed money or thats how I see a full flush out scenario setting the bottom prices yet the figures will be higher as pounds become worth less

You might be the exception but even those that are sympathetic tend not to make a stand by selling their houses for less than market value.

You might be nicer than those rubbing their hands with glee but in practice you're the same.
