Just been to M & S Culverhouse, Cardiff.

Traffic and queues are horrendous.

Thought I'd stock up on some shirts etc.

I am a regular size, nothing there, everything was for the thinnies of fatties. Seems they want to get rid of old stock.

Fought through the food hall, said to wifey 'buggar this for a game of soldiers' and got out.

Went across the road to Tescos, no one in Tescos.
Brilliant, no queues or bumping trolleys.

Having spent ages online trying to order, I eventually gave up and placed an order by phone on

Instantly Got what I wanted with discount.

Just back from m&s and have got a great deal on cava wine !. 2 bottles for £8 (normally £5.99 each)is a long standing offer,so i presumed i would get 20% discount on £8 but to my delight,they take 20% off full price (11.98 ) and then also apply the £3.98 which is to make them 2 for £8. So you actually get £6.38 off in total making them 2 bottles for £5.60 !!! Bargain.

A member of staff in my local store told me that this was a mistake on the tills, but that they weren't telling the managers until after they had got their discounts!

Apparently this is the case on all multi-buy items.....the 20% is taken off the original price, then the discount is added.

The queues in my store ,which closes at 9 p.m. tonight ,(but other stores have different times so you can still go now)were incredible........some were out of the door nearly.I must say that some of our staff entertained our customers with tastings of champagne and port!!!!!!!!!
No rows or shouting.Another request from a customer .'would you mind folding the trousers on the side please and then putting them on top not on the bottom'geee you'd think they were gold!
I'm glad that staff still have 20% off until sunday.so I can take my time to see what the best bargains are.

I bought Frankincense (I think thats how you spell it!!!) and Mirth (I think thats how you spell it!!!) room spray last year and it cost £6 a bottle ( I dont usually pay that much but it is lovely especially at christmas) and anyway I went into M&S today as I though 20% off that so I will go and get some and guess what.....This year it is only £4 (for the same size bottle), also their was already 40% off, so that made it £2.40 and then I got another 20% off (the oriiginal price)..so to end this, I got this for £1.60 WHAT A BARGAIN...sorry to get so excited about something so small...but I am easily pleased. I also got 60% off the pot pourrie packs as well. Oh I forgot to add they did not have this advertised as 40% off originally..so look out and ask!!

Oh....and I bought 6 bottles!!!

Well, I got back from M&S at Hedge End an hour ago. Bought the Scalectrix for £20! Thats my bro sorted. Only 1 more prezzie to go ! Thanks for this...

However, the point being I was cheeky and asked the checkout woman if this is a weekly event. She said no BUT this will happen AGAIN in 2 WEEKS or so.So if you missed out this time then there is still hope

me friend was absolutely shattered today working in m&s, she says that they have 2 more events like this before xmas.
think i'll wait for xmas eve as she'll get me loads of stuff at knock down prices in their staff shop. ;D
