Technika Dvd player help

I have Technika DVDR2005 dvd player, today loaded the disc and since than its all gone quite. No lights, none of the buttons or remote functions, switched it off for a while than on again still no joy. Any suggestions? is the player dead? How can I remove the disc?

If you haven't already, check that the wall socket isn't dead, and if it's removable, swap mains leads with something that works to check it's not the fuse in the plug.

If neither of those work, the power supply has probably failed - new players are so cheap now that it's probably not worth having repaired.

Some players have a small "release hole" in the front of the disc tray which you can poke with a straightened paperclip to get the disc out.

Failing that you'll probably need to unplug from the mains, remove the top and operate by hand the plastic gears that slide the tray out.

I had checked the wall socket with different appliance and it works fine, changed the fuse on the dvd player still no power/lights.
Guess it is going to the recycling site.
I will use the above suggestion to remove the disc.
    Thanks
