Post Office® 1, 3 and 5 Year GROWTH BONDS Issue 7 launched w.e.f. 1.10.08.

1 Year GROWTH BOND Issue 7: a one year fixed term account with a minimum investment of £500 paying 6.75% on maturity.
3 Year GROWTH BOND Issue 7: a three year fixed term account with a minimum investment of £500 paying 6.00% yearly.
5 Year GROWTH BOND Issue 7: a five year fixed term account with a minimum investment of £500 paying 6.00% yearly.
For all three bonds: No additions or withdrawals permitted.

    I've just bought the last growth bond issue, (6a); it took a good six weeks to receive the confirmation paperwork, which is a long time! (Excuse was that they were overwhelmed by the response, 750000 new accounts).
    If you need to phone don't use the 08457 22 33 44 number use this: 0800 1697 500, cheaper!
    Anyway this scheme is run by the bank of Ireland, which is now covered by the 2 year unlimited guarantee - good news.

    Also, the product is not growth and is not a bond. (just to repeat the usual comments in case anyone makes the mistake that the title of a post office product would actually reflect what is is)
