The answer is a straight NO. Read the back of the coupons ("...must be presented by the person named..."), then read your Clubcard Voucher security briefing that all the stores received not so long ago, and tell me that its OK-but-bad to use them again!
Yes, we know people do it, yes we know people get away with it, but yes we also know its simply and purely wrong, and the company is making changes to stop it (some of which we're seeing now).
Honestly
READ THE "MANAGING YOUR STORE" BRIEFING PACK that ALL SENIOR MANAGERS HAVE
Any manager of the senior team can over ride a clause set by head office for the benefit of good customer service.
Stick to stacking shelves Joel - you obviously have a grudge against management which is NOT what this site is for.0 -

I am a customer service manager for tesco and can assure you that this is frowned upon by the company. Simply because Many many people will pass their vouchers to a friend or relative to use and then telephone clubcard helpline and say they have not received their vouchers. Clubcard would then send out a new batch of vouchers for you to use and the company would be non the wiser.
HOWEVER this has now changed. Vouchers can now be cancelled so they can not be used. Each voucher must now be scanned by the cashier. Once a voucher is scanned, it will take about 3 seconds for clubcard to authorise them. The till now know if that voucher has already been used, or cancelled. If so, it will not be accepted as payment.
Also, if u use someone elses vouchers with your clubcard, this is also tracked by the company. If that person then informs us their vouchers have not arrived, we can tell if they have been used, when, in what store, what date/time and who by. The person who used them will then have their clubcard account suspended or even cancelled. If it is found theyhave been used frauduantly by both of you (ie, you knew they were using them), you both have your accounts cancelled.
If however, that person really does not want their vouchers, technically you can use them, so long as they are not reported stolen. However this is at management discretion.
In reguards to presenting your clubcard when using vouchers, if you check the terms and conditions that you accept when registering for clubclub, it does state that you must. Again this is store specific.
What a relief to hear from a Tesco CSM on MSE who can give us the SP on all Tesco’s directives ASAP as they happen!
Perhaps we could use this person as a MOLE in the Tesco camp and regularly give us updates on all of Tesco’s mad policies that seem to change with the weather!COMPERKING

btw how many people phone up and fraudulently say they have lost their vouchers? Have they not got anything better to do? I hope my life never gets that dull;)Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Yeah, I'm sure they can as a one off - but to constantly break those rules and say its acceptable I don't think would be acceptable. Why even bother printing vouchers with terms and conditions if it was the job of senior team to break them as and when they wanted?
Yes, doing things for goodwill is great, but blatently saying its ok for other people to use others Clubcard vouchers, especially in potential stores you don't control and have the power to break that rule, is wrong.
So Mrs X takes Mrs Y's Clubcard vouchers into Tesco, and says that they saw on MSE a CSM say that it was ok to use their vouchers, and that senior team is allowed to break the rules as and when they please. Yeah, thats going to go down well, isnt it?Stick to stacking shelves Joel
I don't stack shelves, for a start.you obviously have a grudge against management
I have no grudge against management, as I am part of that very same (management) team.which is NOT what this site is for.
No, it's not, but I don't believe giving incorrect and misleading information is either. Thats the rules on the back of the voucher, and thats what they are. Clubcard would agree the same, and they don't put them on the back of the voucher just to fill the space.Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine.
