I have never had a problem doing this. I often swap vouchers with my mum and we've never had a problem.0

Whilst waiting in the queue the other day I saw one of their little crib sheets which gives the checkout person the lowdown on what they can and can't do with the vouchers. Officially it seems that if the name on the clubcard doesn't match the name on the voucher they technically shouldn't accept them, different numbers are fine as the customer may have lost the old clubcard. Evidently they don't bother following their guidelines from peoples experience.
(also, and I haven't tried it yet, it said the ink on the Tesco logo across the vouchers on the back is meant to be heat sensitive and should disappear or change colour when breathed on, OK own up, who's been forging clubcard vouchers?;))0 -
Use my mum's all the time. Self-scan doesn't seem to care

a simple answer to your question is - YES but be VERY VERY CAREFUL.NJO wrote:QUESTION

I am a customer service manager for tesco and can assure you that this is frowned upon by the company. Simply because Many many people will pass their vouchers to a friend or relative to use and then telephone clubcard helpline and say they have not received their vouchers. Clubcard would then send out a new batch of vouchers for you to use and the company would be non the wiser.
HOWEVER this has now changed. Vouchers can now be cancelled so they can not be used. Each voucher must now be scanned by the cashier. Once a voucher is scanned, it will take about 3 seconds for clubcard to authorise them. The till now know if that voucher has already been used, or cancelled. If so, it will not be accepted as payment.
Also, if u use someone elses vouchers with your clubcard, this is also tracked by the company. If that person then informs us their vouchers have not arrived, we can tell if they have been used, when, in what store, what date/time and who by. The person who used them will then have their clubcard account suspended or even cancelled. If it is found theyhave been used frauduantly by both of you (ie, you knew they were using them), you both have your accounts cancelled.
If however, that person really does not want their vouchers, technically you can use them, so long as they are not reported stolen. However this is at management discretion.
In reguards to presenting your clubcard when using vouchers, if you check the terms and conditions that you accept when registering for clubclub, it does state that you must. Again this is store specific.0 -

I regularly use my Moms & my Sons! Obviously they give them to me so there's no question of them being reported stolen & or used twiceNJO wrote:Dont think i'll do this then, bottled it now.
I have never had any problem at all. As long as they're not wanted by your friend give them a try.0 -

yes but these are all realtives with same surname that prob why its overlooked.

I would be careful - one of the vouchers with mine was for 125 points when you buy cadburys share pack - so I got one last Saturday as they're only £2.49 so a good deal for the deals

However when I checked my receipt afterwards it had given me £1.25 off not the points - which is obviously not such a good offer - so I phoned tesco clubcard hotline when I got home and they said that it was a known problem with this voucher and that when they got back to head office the points would be added onto the appropriate account - presumably using the clubcard number on the voucher - haven't been in the last few days so don't know if I've got my points yet - but presumably if they match these points to the card number on the voucher I'd have lost out if I'd used someone elses voucher (and they'd have got my points)Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

ROTFLMAO! You call yourself a CSM with that answer? Blimey!
The answer is a straight NO. Read the back of the coupons ("...must be presented by the person named..."), then read your Clubcard Voucher security briefing that all the stores received not so long ago, and tell me that its OK-but-bad to use them again!
Yes, we know people do it, yes we know people get away with it, but yes we also know its simply and purely wrong, and the company is making changes to stop it (some of which we're seeing now).
Honestly :rolleyes:Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Mmmmmmm.0
