It depends who you're with.
Scottish Power's website allows you to submit a reading at any time. It then generates a full bill for that period. They do take a while to generate the bill sometimes (3 or 4 working days) and the shortest interval I've tried to generate one for was 15 days, but I expect it would at least allow you do one a week if you wanted to.
I don't know about other suppliers. I know Southern Electric's website didn't work that way when I was with them, but it may have changed now. SE only wanted to bill once a quarter.0 -
With E-on you can only give 3 readings per quarter.

I enter mine on the first of every month with Scottish Power. I've been doing that for over 3 years and find that when they reassess my direct debit it doesn't vary too much. They've twice put my dd down as well as up.0
