Is the car parking priced per hour,
PasturesNew, I can understand your confusion. It is a very confusing place. I compared it to an Escher drawing the other day ...
CCStar, I didn't think there were that many shops not yet open?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I'm thinking of going but don't want to if the rest of Broadmead is still being dug up? Last time I was there you couldn't cross the street for diggers.
What's it like? I hear they are doing block paving .0 -
They haven't finished the block paving yet, but it's better than it was ...
The middle bit is done, there are now often street performers at the pedestrianised crossroads. We have some weird icicles or stalagmites or stalactites installed around the place (they go up from the ground but it's too late to work out what they are!) It's the 'arms' off the crossroads that they are still working on, but I don't see how they can be much longer ... it is better every time I walk through!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
The one REALLY good thing is that the Park and Ride bus services are now running until 8.30 pm, Monday - Saturday. I'm really hoping that's not just in the run up to Christmas!
Service is every 20 minutes in the evening.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
The big new car park is per two hours, I think it's £3 for 2 hours and £5 for 4 hours and so on. But it's a 'pay as you leave' one, as is the old Galleries one, so make sure you don't stay over!

Don't think we'll bother really, macarthur glen sounds better or even cardiff, or you use the park and ride its cheaper,0 -
Don't go if you suffer from vertigo!
I needed a stiff g&t and made a hasty exit which was a good thing given the cost of the car park! I won't be rushing back. Cribbs will do as I love free parking.Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -
The only shops I have been in are duplicates of ones they have in Broadmead (Entertainer & Zavvi - or whatever Virgin is called now). Will they be closing the 'spares'?
I'm just waiting for the 4 floor Primark in the old John Lewis building...or whatever that is nowadays..only ever get as far as the Galleries on my lunch hour. By the time I've walked over castle green, got down the stairs in the Galleries..it's time to go back!
15 crafts for 2015 challenge.

It cost me and the OH over 7 quid to get a return to town the other day...and while the buildings were quite nice there were not any shops I would want to go in (me being very mse, and not interested in clothes) ....and I agree with the comment about the frosty doors on the loo's, which didn't have any hooks for hanging your bags on. And the power drier's...nearly took my hands off! Think I'll stick to the shops in Kingswood for my Christmas shopping..at almost 4 pound for a return to town I can't afford to go there!
The loos in the Galleries do not have hooks on either! It's not often that I get into Broadmead, but I was not impressed with the Galleries loos when I last went.
I have not yet had the opportunity to get to Cabot Circus
(PS I hope this works as I have never quoted before)0 -

Usually there's been a cleaner in there directing traffic.

We now have giant stone balls [STRIKE]littering [/STRIKE]adorning the pavements around the old part of Broadmead. I'm sure it's all deeply significant.
But the reindeer are quite something! Christmas Lights to be switched on on Monday 10 November from 6 pm, probably very good if you like that kind of thing, horrible if you don't like crowds, noise, flashing lights etc. I won't see you there ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
