Well received my letter today that i requested confirming that the loan has been paid off - basically says thank you for paying the full balance and your account is not settled etc etc.... but still waiting on the closing statement that i asked them for!! Might ring them today to make sure they did send it, as the waiting is horrible!!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0

It went on for between 6-8 weeks.I said nothing, and kept fingers crossed.
Everytime that company sends you a letter your heart will sink.
But like i said before "you never know"
I got my fingers crossed for you.
Good Luck.

Well i got the statement that i have been waiting for. Not that it was much help - just said payment made
I suppose i'll just leave it for now and wait for them to contact me.
Ordered a credit report aswell today so shall see if that shows up on there.
I suppose its just a waiting game of whether they chase me up for it

The exactly same thing happened with me, I asked them over and over and they told me definately settled. 3 months later the direct debit started again, I spoke to the lawyer and she said there was nothing I could do. I complained they should have let me know they were going to start the direct debit again, so they wiped the 3 months of arrears....bonus!Debt @ LBM April 2005 £27500
