Contact trying to get my password?

Checking my e-mails today & I got 1 from one of my msn messenger contacts saying he has blocked me, also in this e-mail was a box to fill in my email address and password to check who has blocked me

I'm guess this is a spam and this person is trying to get my password, never seen anything like it and wondered if anyone can shred some light on it or has anyone else had the same thing?

Have deleted the e-mail.

After abit of digging around I think I found it, I am sure it was an e-mail like this but will have to check when I get home;

You did right deleting, I have had these from a couple of my contacts with similar wording, definitely a virus or something.
