Pre-exisiting conditions in dental insurance?

Can anyone tell me what 'pre-exisiting conditions' cover? I am looking at taking out dental insurance now my dentist has gone private. Does this mean that if I lose a filling that's already there (pre-insurance) and need it replaced this won't be covered by the policy? Same with crowns? I have several. If I need one replaced, will the insurance company cover that?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Not usually.
So long as everything is in place and healthy when you take it out, replacement fillings will be covered as and when they become necessary. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0
