second job, tax credits

Hi,
I am thinking of applying for a temporary christmas job, but want to know if this will affect my tax credits.
I already have a part time job and my husband works full time, we have 4 children all under 16.
If it will, it may not be worth applying as i want to be better off over christmas as at the moment we are struggling.
Hope that it makes sense.
Grace

It won't affect it this year but it would affect it next year as next years payments are based on the previous years income HOWEVER if you need the money now, it'd be stupid to turn it down when nobody knows where they'll be 6 months down the line.
