Pc too worn out to download virus fix...

Any suggestions guys ?

We've managed to download this virus http://www.prevx.com/filenames/796689576925608092-0/PELTODGX2EDLL.html
and it's using up so much CPU on our ancient laptop that we're unable to download the fixes that have been suggested, grrr. In fact, we can't do much at all (including logging in in safe mode).

Help welcomed, thanks !

I'm posting this from a different pc by the way...

Have you pressed CTRL>ALT>DELETE to pull up task manager?

First of vall disconnect the lappy from the internet i.e physically unplug the network cable or usb cable, use the above to pull up task manager, can you see which task is hogging all the cpu useage? If so,try and shut it down . If that works it will buy you some breathing space to try and download a fix and activate it.Have you checked symantecs website for a fix?

It has disabled Task Manager, we can't get to that either.
