i woudlnt go out and buy pampers for this reason they only donate enough for 1 vacine (2.5p) for each pack of pampers bought (£5.99) if you donated £6 directly to unicef it would vacinate over 200 baby's

i love unicef and they do fantastic work it really bugs me when big companies such as proctor and gamble that make pampers put out adverts that pull at the heart strings making out they are really generous to charity, its an advertising gimick - maybe im just being synical. and a few pence for every sale wont dent their profits well they would do it if it did.

For organisations like Unicef it's another way of generating income. Remember that not everyone is willing or able to give money directly. Charities and other organisations have to find more commercial means.
