wheel tracking. before or after new tyres?

Im going to get some new tyres this afternoon and get my tracking done too

Do i get it done before or after the new tyres are fitted or does it not matter

    You should do it after fitting the new tyre.
    Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

    Definitely after. If the original tyres are badly worn or warped then this could affect the tracking.

    I routinely get my tyres from MichealDever Tyres near Basingstoke in Hampshire, tyres get replaced first then onto the tracking and alignment bays after (costs about £20-£25 here).
    If it were a good idea to do it the other way round they would as the bottle neck in the queue is for tyre replacements - they turnover a large volume of customers in a day.

    Which means you got the tyres done then the alignment & tracking regardless of what you may have asked for ;)
  • indeed, ive never had the tracking touched before, i just was not sure what the deal was, i was not sure if they made you go straight on rather than right, but as it turns out, its new tyres and left around the back!
