I got the message that it had encountered a problem and needs to close.
When I went further into it it said. "appname rtwlan. exe.

It's an application for your NETGEAR WG111 Smart Wizard-Wireless Assistance. If you do not use the utility (i.e. you use Microsoft's wireless configuration) you can disable it by deleting it from the startup folder
check netgear's website for an update or patch
or "right Click" on the netgear software and stop it managing your wireless connection and let Windows manage it, you will need to re-enter your network keyEx forum ambassador
