Picasso starting probs

I have noticed that although my picasso starts first time in the morning, there is a slight delay as if it wasn't going to bother, then suddenly fires up.

Every car I've had has needed a new alternator, does anyone know if this is an early sign?

More likely sticky starter. Alternator issues would be harder to start and turn over a few times before firing. You can get them refurbed quite cheap or just give it a 'tap' with a block of wood or hammer to help it turn over before starting ;)

Thank goodness for that. I never seem to have a car long before a major part decides to breathe its last!

I'll get it booked in for a service. I'm off to france in it next week so I don't want it to be a problem

Since it's a French car you could consider getting it serviced over there... I was reading a thread on another forum about someone getting a quote from a Peugeot garage in Calais (the garage administrator spoke excellent English) which was about half what they quoted in the UK.
