I was wondering if its worth renting your house out for the ryder cup 2010 held at the celtic manor,
Any one think of doing this ?
you could advertise it yourself or i have seen a few websites that advertise it for you.
http://www.eventleasing.com/
http://www.rydercuphomerental.co.uk
are a couple i came across on google, I saw one or two on gumtree as well.
Are there anyother good sites ?
I hear you can get good money i.e £000's for a week, so i was thinking of going on holiday for the week as its going to be mad all around the area for that week.
your thoughts would be appreciated.

I've already rented two properties in Brecon for the week during the Ryder Cup for £1100 each. A person who has a property down the Gower asked and got £1500 for the week. I've been told that most people within 90 mins drive of Newport have a good chance of getting these rates.
Not sure if I would rent out my own house though.0 -

There seems to be tons of websites asking you to pay to advertise your house.
Would be good to hear from anyone who used any of these websites and actually got a booking from them? Or at least some enquiries?Cymru am Byth !!! :j:j:j0 -
I have secured a booking for my house. I advertised under the £2k per person sharing price though. I placed my 5 bed on accommodationfortheevent.com firstly because I saw them in the "Greens and Dreams" Golf magazine. Secondly they are naturally top ranked on Google for 90-95% of all terms, not just the one you mentioned. And thirdly even the "One Show" on BBC thought they were the best as they only really predominantly showed the accommodation for the event site website. I found this on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSPId6P7uRw
This website does its job and I am very happy with our outcome - here are some stats on their 2006 page: http://www.accommodationfortheevent.com/rydercup/2006/0 -
I can vouch for the Accommodation for the Event too - my house is also successfully rented through their website. :beer:0

Do you by any chance have any financial interest in 'accommodation for the event'?0 -

LOL, nice one.
I also had a chuckle at the post above yours. Justin6, a newcomer to the forums and by pure coincidence guess what he posts about?
Why do the forum guides let them get away with it?0 -

What makes you ask that?
