Can anyone out there tell me if fixed rate bonds (eg Stroud and Swindon issue 57) are covered by the FSCS £35k gaurantee. All the bumf I have seen refers to savings and savings accounts. Are bonds savings accounts?

Savings accounts are often described as 'bonds' by the provider. These would be covered by the £35k.
A 'bond' is not necessarily a savings account though and may be protected by a different compensation scheme, based on what the actual investment is.0 -
Good stuff, I feel better now.
Does this also apply to foreign banks such as Kaupthing Edge and ICICI0 -
