I'd like to buy a fairly compact scanner for my Mac. I'd mostly use it for old family photographs so a flatbed would be best. Any recommendations?

anything epson or canon... i hate hp...
i think all are mac compatible..
look for a high bit depth,, no good having a 4800x4800 with a 12bit depth, when a 2400x2400 with a 48bit depth will give you more colour clarity..

Have bought the Kodak 5300 all in one paid £99 a few months ago,
Really good quality, thats what we have been using it for penguine, Yes it is a printer as well but the cartridges are really cheap as well,
Downloaded the Mac drivers from the Kodak website0 -
Have a look on macworld.co.uk/forums lots on this0
