Broadband Deals-Unfair practices

I have been wading through the available deals for broadband plus evening and weekend phone calls, free router and including line rental.
According to their site Talk Talk, who I understand is Carephone Warehouse,
has this package available for £16.99 per month. BUT
If I try to order it and tell them I am an AOL customer I believe they will tell
me I must go to AOL (Carphone W bought UK AOL). There is no AOL package to compare to the Talk Talk one. Any comments please?

Why not try asking them. There is no point in asking advice for a situation that has and may not happen

make sure you get any deal agreed on the telephone in writing though, I have had loads of hassle from BT with them telling me one thing on the telephone and doing another and not informing me in writing.
"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Well, I did ask Talk Talk a couple of weeks ago and they said you will have to take an AOL package but I will do as you suggest and now discuss it with AOL. At first glance their free laptop package looks good but when you work it out you are paying for the laptop for ever. So if I buy a reasonable laptop and manage to get this TT package I'll be sorted. At the moment I am paying
Primus for line rental and phone with free evening and w/end (about £13.50)
    plus AOL £9.99 for broadband.
