The original question almost seems like a pi$$-take....
But nevertheless...
I agree with one of the previous posters that the Amex Platinum is aesthetically pleasing - it almost seems to be a hologram [or should that be hologrammatical...?].
But I DISagree with a couple of the other posters. I think the Amex Blue - which I used to have before I upgraded - is 'orrible! I preferred its old style before they changed it. But -- each to his own..!
The new HSBC Gold card's quite nice. (Oooh, sorry to any of the numerous posters who've applied for it on-line & are still waiting! Scratch your eyes out! I applied for mine in-branch)Expect the worst & hope for the best...0 -
Oops! Missed the one from Mr Nick that says Amex won't give him a card... At least we're in agreement about the boredom of the Blue card, anyway.Expect the worst & hope for the best...0

Why?
I bet this is important to quite a lot of people when choosing a card.
I have no balance to transfer. I really don't care who the provider is. I'm not interested in 'stoozing'. I have an excellent credit rating and high income, which for some reason aren't good enough for the Amex Platinum.
A lot of the new card now have stupid designs on them, ie the Capital One cards. Even the new Goldfish card is now blue. What was wrong with white with the fish on it?
I'm looking for a stylish, good looking card. From my research, the platinum Barcleycard is in the lead.0 -
Personally, I quite like the look of the Cahoot Credit Card, although, apart from aesthetics, I can't think of a single good reason why anybody would actually want one - no cashback, no balance transfer.
Cahoot are a good bank though - I've been using their current account for nearly 4 years without any probs, although others speak of their customer service like it's something that you could tread in on a grass verge, if you know what I meanMortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000

Fair enough.
Have you checked out the MoreThan range of cards - available in about 4 differing designs, all black/green?
Otherwise, what about the bogstandard Accucard range, not so stylish perhaps but a wider range of colours.
Otherwise, I suppose the Citi platinum card ain't bad.
Depends what you like really, I suppose.Expect the worst & hope for the best...0 -
Actually, I see the MoreThan designs have changed. But they're still OK.Expect the worst & hope for the best...0

I like the platinum Barclaycard, I have one ;D.
I also have a Mint card which a few shop assistants have favourably commented on
