Help for energy bills

I came across this piece in this weekends newspapers:

"If you, or an elderly neighbour, are struggling with high energy bills call the free home heat helpline on 0800336699. Callers are advised on benefit entitlement, discounted energy tariffs & grants for home improvements such as loft & wall cavity insulation & new boilers"

They were really helpful when i called on behalf of my parents, they asked which energy supplier they were with & looked up tariffs for elderly/disabled people. I was told that if my parents received pension credits/means tested benefits they could help.

Anyway, the calls free, so there's no harm trying to see what you are entitled to, hope this helps someone, goodluck :)
No one said it was gonna be easy!
