Hi guys
I'm getting annoyed with missing my favourite programs (usually because i forget) and we can't get sky + because a) we live in a listed building, b) cables not an option and c) we cant really afford it.
We currently have a matsui freeview box (quite old) and tele.
Is there any kind of hard disk recorder out there we can get? The freeview isnt set to a channel you have to press the little AV button to get it on.
Love to be able to record on a timer too! Cheers folks

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.

Humax 9200T or Topfield 5800. If you've a Playstation 3, there's the PlayTV add on that does the same.0

I have a Sony hard drive/dvd recorder with freeview built in. It is recommended. I did get a cheaper one, but there was a 2 second delay with sound and picture when playing back so I sent it back!!My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0

We bought a Humax when they came out three years ago and it has been faultless. I'd buy another tomorrow. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Asda have one for £59 - can't remember off the top of my head what make it is, probably Pacific or Onn I expect.
Anyone know if it's any good?Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
We have a Thomson one which we've had for several years. You can record 2 programmes or watch one and record another.
Never had any problems with it but is now only used as a backup when Sky satellite goes down as OH finally got his own way and ordered Sky+.
Sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone know how to transfer a recording from a DVR to computer? OH was on TV last year and we recorded it on DVR but would like to transfer to computer HD.0 -
All I'll say is: you get what you pay for!0
