what's happening to John Lewis?

I'm getting very poor service on the on line purchase of a Samsung Fridge Freezer - full details on the Samsung thread - where comments on the letter I intend to fax tonight would be very much appreciated.
And a couple of weeks ago the Bluewater store promised to send me a fabric sample - which hasn't arrived.
Is it just me or are standards slipping?

I had a good result when I had faulty goods, but I had to be very persistant to get that result.0

John Lewis online support are hit and miss. It depends on who you get when you phone or email. I have had some really helpful people and some who were hopeless and unhelpful.0

I had some faulty towels that just kept shedding and shedding RED fluff.
They took some convincing that they were faulty goods under the soga, eventually discovered I wasn't the only person who had had this problem, and let me keep them (well i gave them away) and sent me replacements (twice,as the first lot didn't arrive at my home)0 -
I had helpful sounding people - sadly, so far to no avail! I spoke to a rather patronising Customer Relations Manager today who told me "not to worry." I'm past worrying, just downright angry now!
However, I have now been promised my fridge freezer (ordered on 30 July) for next Friday October 10 - we shall see!Downshifted

Well - the second fridge freezer arrived yesterday - with a mark on the door so noticeable it had to be sent back! It's not me being fussy - the delivery guy pointed it out to me before they undloaded it.
The CRM had arranged for me to be telephoned today to make sure the delivery had happened. The poor girl was gob smacked when I said there was a problem with it again!
So now they are either going to deliver it next week or give me my money back. Now JL are paying attention they seem to be dealing with me quite reasonably - but the quality control on Samsung Fridge Freezers leaves a lot to be desired!Downshifted

Re: fabric sample. I think JL send off the requests to the manufacturer so it might not be JL's fault (but equally, it could be lol)Kavanne
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse!

I've given up on the fabric sample. We only go to Bluewater every 3 weeks or so, so when I last went I re-ordered it. One did arrive, within 5 days - but it was the wrong colour!!
