Ive always sniffed out bargains because well, weve had to! But this site has really made me into a super sleuth. I now use Tesco.com for my shopping, and save tons. Not only do you not do the impulse buying, you can check out all the BOGOFS and then get the codes from here and other sites for brilliant extra points. In just over 2 months I now have £200 worth of deal points and another £80 due anytime from a wine and beer order for Christmas. I am planning on a caravan holiday using the deals. It will cost £600 for the whole family including the dog and I reckon I will get it for zilch.

Ive changed my utilities at a saving of about £195 a year. Ive changed my pet insurance - same price but much much better lifetime cover.

My son got travel insurance for a third that he had been quoted elsewhere - for Dubai.

Ive changed phone company and get free calls to all landlines.

I just bought two dressing gowns (Xmas pressies)from a leading catalogue company and by using code discounts on here both have cost me just £14!!

Ive swopped my credit card that gave me points for things like £20 off a hoover which I knew Id never used and now have one cash back and one Tescos. Both earning me cash/points.

Oh, and the first month following my purchase of premium bonds I got £50

Now, if only I could work out my endowment £17k shortfall ..................

  • Do not think of yourself as a scrooge! If like me you work hard for your money you want it to work hard for you. Why just waste it or throw it away? You are just planning and organising so you can spend your money sensibly to get the holiday you really want.
Scrooge would be to spend it on yourself!
