not really a computer wizz but use my PC for word processing/spreadsheets, surfing, online banking, eBay etc. IN the processs of putting my 750 odd CD's onto iTunes and wondered if I would be better getting a separate hard disk for this. Will the music slow my computer down or is it irrelevant.
No idea...

750cds, at an average of 12 tracks per cd, at an average of about 5mb per track, is around 45gb.
now, what i would suggest, is to keep them on the main hard drive, but also have a back up on an external hard drive... think of all the man hours you would have wasted if your hard drive goes pop, and you then don't have any music at all...

The music won't slow your computer down, but it will use space on the hard disc and markymoo says, but unless you have a tiny hard disc, you'll be fine. An external backup is a great idea.0
