I think a lot of these companies do try it on,in the hopes that they will find someone not quite sure how things work and who will be scared enough to pay up. My ex has recieved an offer for a BT debt on his now dissolved company. They are offering to reduce the debt by 50% and let him pay in 3 payments to clear the debt for good. He has been told by his accountant they are just trying it on and ignore them as he mustn't prioritise their debt, but it must work often enough for them to keep trying it!

Don't you feel sorry for DCA in these desperate times?

it must work I agree, but not with me!!!!

Im tempted to ring em up just so they have my phone number so i can give em the runaround on the phone too!!! But that might be more trouble that its worth. So I probably wont do it lololol
"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"
