Calculating power usage.

Options
When using an energy comparison site to achieve a better rate for gas or electricity one has to give the amount of either gas or electricity consumed as a total spend per year or as an amount in Kwh which I think is more accurate. How do you convert the units used on a gas or electricity meter into Kwh. All my attempts at calculating this are hopelessly wrong!

Welcome practico......the electric readings are kWH's and gas depends on whether you are metric (multiply by 11)or cubic ft. (multiply by 31.568). Tis on the meter which you are.
