    although you can approximate it when each month's RPI figures are published by comparing the index from when you bought and the current index. The further into the year you go, the better the approximation.

    Thanks to everybody, and yeah I know those returns aren't guaranteed or even close to it.

    Even if the inflation rate drops it's still a pretty good option for a high rate taxpayer with no ISA allowance left.
