we have just moved and don't really have room for a tv in our bedroom as our desktop pc is in there. we have a lcd monitor which would be suitable for viewing tv on. I have had a look on ebay for a tv pci card, but we would like to pick up freeview on it too (which we have on downstairs tv). I'm not very tech. minded and would appreciate some guidance with what i should be getting, and opinions on ease of fitting (hubbys job!!). thank you.

Whats the make and model of the monitor - it may have additional connectors to use an external freeview box?julieblake wrote:I have had a look on ebay for a tv pci card, but we would like to pick up freeview on it too (which we have on downstairs tv). Check the Hauppage site out and compare to whats on EBay.
Fitting is straight forward, just check you have an available (white) slot.
If Windows is your oS, it'll detect the card and ask for the drivers cd. Make sure you get the CD with card (or at least where to download the drivers, if buying from EBay).0 -
There is a very cheap Hauppauge Nova-t, digital terrestrial, PCI tuner card here .
It also comes with a remote control.
