I've just uncovered a nasty little trick. I was emailed my first months bill, Zero call charges, but a £1.00 debit. I quried it, and it looks very much like they charge you £1.00 per email query? In which case I've just racked up another two/three pounds. I can't find this in their T&Cs. Sounds a rip-off to me?
So be warned! Has anyone else any more info on this?
Cheers.

Hi,
It is in their T&Cs in the section under charges: -
http://www.just-dial.com/pages/tandcs_saver.asp
(b) charge you a further administration fee together with a fee for the submission of the further written notification. We reserve the right to charge an administration fee up to £1 per e-mail enquiry made to our customer services department and should we do so, this amount will be added to your monthly invoice.
I seem to remember reading that they would charge you £1 per email query where the query could be answered by simply looking through their web site.
Cheers

I think that is a quote out of context. It comes under the Charges section, which first of all details how you'll hung drawn and quartered if they can't extract from you the dosh owing from the last bill. It then goes on to sayIf, following our notification, we are still unable to recover all payments due, or if your account remains wholly or partly outstanding for any other reason we will:
(a) send a further written notification requiring you to discharge your account in full within 7 calendar days from the date of this notification, failing which we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the Service or otherwise refer your outstanding account to a third party collection service (in which case you will be responsible for all costs that are incurred by us in taking such action); and
(b) charge you a further administration fee together with a fee for the submission of the further written notification.....0 -

As far as I remember, my enquiry email was asking them for their charges for 0870 & 0845 #s. I could not see that on their web site.
For all those that 'might' not know, you can overide their service by dialing 1280 (I think) you then revert to BT.
I don't know about you lot, but £1.00 for an email enquiry is extortion!
I'll have the last laugh though, I'll make doubly sure that I only use them in their free times, or else I'll use 1899 or 18866.
Also beware, their 'weekend' starts at midnight friday 'till midnight Sunday, not the same as weekdays!
I don't like this company, their attitude stinks, but now I know the rules, not one more penny out of me will they ever earn.
Cheers.

Their free evening and weekend 01/02 calls are 6pm to 8am Mon to Thurs, and 6pm Frid to 8am Mon.It is cheaper to use BT at evenings and weekends to call 0845/0870 numbers by using the 1280 override service.
PS. 18866 is now dearer then 1899 to call 01/02 numbers.
They are of course up for sale with their sister company OneTel.0 -

I've just been searching the FAQs for this, so many thanks! As a matter of interest, where did you find this information?
