Utilities Swap
Options
Hello,
Before the last price rise I applied for a dual fuel swap to British Gas via money supermarket.com. This was in July and I still havent been swapped. I have chased them on numerous occasions but they keep telling me that they are chasing British Gas. The tell me that I willl get the tariff that I apllied for but I'm worried that it will all fall through and I will have to do a new swap at the higher prices.
What can I do?

Have you checked with BG or just MS?0

I did the same 29th July and have called both BG and MS twice, just called for 3rd time tonight and got another different answer.
BG saying not received application (consistently) and 3rd explanation from MS is that I completed part of the online application wrong so BG have transferred my electric but thrown Gas application out & back to MS - yet I have not received any notification of this from MS.
Great it is now with them to investigate, the whole reason I did this was to fix at the price offered in July, wish had not bothered as on top I will now lose dual customer payment from NPower of circa £80:embarasse0 -
I havent rang BG to check with them but I got a call from them today to ask if I wanted to switch to them at the newer capped (more expensive) rate. I explained to the girl that I was not willing to do anything at the moment as I was waiting for MS.
However, I'm still on the standard tariff at the moment so I need to get it sorted soon.0
