Switching during a switch

Hi guys, i read this website weekly and several weeks ago read the article about switching, took a gamble and switched to click 5. however as you all know, click 5 has increased dramatically, but i've just received letters from BG saying my switch will be complete by the end/beginning of October/November. I definitely don't want to stay on that price plan, as I know there is cheaper out there (i'm a low consumption 2bedroom flat).

I used to be with swalec, and they offer the better tariff provided i changed my previous plan, so i was wondering, how can I cancel the current switch and remain with them? will it take ages?

You can't cancel until the switch is completed.

Then you can, and if you do it straightaway, and inform them, they shouldn't impose the price increase on any energy they supply whilst your switch away is being completed.

Your original post suggested you had received confirmation that your switch was taking place. (You say you switched "several weeks ago".

You may still be in a cooling off period - contact BG for the current status of the switch.
  • I did the same thing, changed from Brit Gas to E On then half way through decided to cap with Scottish Power, I had a letter from E On stating the switch was going through and then a letter from Scot Power saying that I couldn't currently switch to them because a switch was already in progress but that they would try again in 3 weeks, 3 weeks later it went through fine.
