Hi
I am going to see Dirty Dancing in Aldwych theatre next Sat ngt - and was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions for nice restaurant (not hideously pricey) that we could have a meal at before?
I see on the map it is near Covent Garden? We are not fussy - italian/chinese etc - only food OH hates is Indian!!
Any suggestions would be great!
Also afterwards would like to go somewhere for few drinks - pub with live music etc? Not into nightclubs!
Thanks

You are never too far from a Bella Pasta in theatreland - and you can use Tesco vouchers. :money: I'm quite fond of Italian food and these restaurants really aren't bad for a budget chain! (2 course meal with wine approx £15)
Or just wander around and take your pick from whatever you fancy at the time! Great atmosphere, you might find some pre-theatre deals on offer.0 -
I think Paradise E Inferno at 389 The Strand has a special theatre menu.
Haven't dined there myself but it comes highly recommended and the aroma when you walk by almost drags you in.
It's literally yards away from The Aldwych and you can check out their menu and prices here...

Even the prices on the a la carte menu are very reasonable for the location.
My brother swears by The Coal Hole at 91 The Strand and opposite Paradise E Inferno. He virtually lived in the place when he was working in London and staying at The Strand Palace Hotel.

I dined at Johnston's Brasserie last month and can personally recommend it. It's one of two restaurants within the Strand Palace Hotel and is open to the public. Their New York Baked Cheesecake is to die for!

All three restaurants above are within feet of each other...Johnstone's and Paradise are on one side on The Strand and The Cole Hole is opposite.
Added to that, there are dozens of enticing little restaurants in the streets around Covent Garden.
Have fun! :beer:0 -

The Spaghetti House is a favourite of ours. There's one near Holborn tube station. Check their website.0
