I would post my SOA but Im getting 15k inheritence next month so all my credit cards and loans will be paid off so we are starting a fresh! And saving for our first house together;)
Thanks to you all xPlease Do Not Drive The Car Untaxed . That Will Only Add To Money Problems.SAVING FOR OUR FIRST HOUSE DEPOSIT
15,000 NEEDED /35,000 SAVED SO FAR! :j0 -
You still need to look at your budget as if you were budgeting correctly then you wouldn't have got into this situation. Make sure that your outgoings are no more than your income after you have the inheritance.0

I think you have 30 days to pay this - so did the car tax run out on the 30 September or was that the end of your grace period?
I think this has now changed - please see below from DVLA website:
.
Tells you how long it is since I had to tax a car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please consider doing an SOA.
Your inheritance may pay off your debts but unless you tackle the underlying problems, you will be coming back here a year later with the same mess.
In the short-term, open a Cash ISA - look at martin's article - which pays on the lowest sums. Add up car tax, car insurance, MOT, maintenance, christmas, birthdays etc. Then divide that amount buy 12 and get it paid by standing order into your ISA every month.
You will be amazed to find that in a few months you stop having to panic about yearly expenses because the money is in your ISA. It is not saving, it is budgetting for periodic expenditure. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
And Slap Hubby. Why tell you today that his car needs car tax..... Mine learnt. Eventually!0
