What do I do with a broken mirror?

What are you supposed to do with broken glass? Can it go in the normal bottle recycling - or does it have to be wrapped up in the landfill bin?

Don't want to hurt a binman - but don't want to put it in landfill if I don't have to.

Comments

  • probably best not the recycle it as it has some special backing stuff

iwould wrap it in news paper, put it in a box and write broken glass on it, then put it in your usual bin

Dont worry about the bin men they shouldnt be rummaging through your bin!

Alternatively are there any pieces that can be salvaged for craft work? Some people may be interested in using them for making mosaics for example. If you belong to your local freecycle you could advertise it on there.
