Why has my PC signed me out of everything??

I was using the computer earlier, fine no problems to report. Left it switched on while I had dinner/watched a bit of tv etc and have now come up to find every website I am automatically signed into under the "remember me" thing has signed me out?! I came straight here and thought it was just MSE playing up, but went to check and it is everything else like hotmail, facebook, anything that needs signing in normally, that I have signed up for it to recognise me?!

Anyone have any idea why?? no one has touched it since I left it earlier??

You've cleared your cookies out or the cookies that were stored have expired.

Thank you for your reply, I was hoping someone would still be up!

No one touched anything to do with the cookies, can they expire all at once then?? I am running a whole computer scan and it has found loads of tracking cookies, but are these just ones that websites put on to my PC to remember my usernames and passwords etc??

Sorry not very computer literate!!
