Hi there

I had CloneDVD installed on my PC since when I bought it a few years from an independent retailer and it has been working fine. However, I seem to have done something as when I open it it's asking me to exchange my serial code (???) with an online key. Any ideas?

There is more than one brand of CloneDVD. Specify if you please.

Did you buy it from Slysoft/Elaborate bytes directly or was it off ebay etc?

Slysoft are known to block serial numbers from single purchase products which have been sold on, in multiple numbers, Esp people selling it on ebay.

If not, Contact their customer support and they will advise you what the problem is.

When I bought my PC it came pre-installed with XP and a few other packages. The independent trader has long since closed and I haven't got any serial numbers, etc

You can try reinstalling the package by downloading the installer from slysoft but you need either a serial number or key to activate it past the trial version.

I am still guessing the independent installed it on muliple pc's from a single licence and that has now been blocked, normally with a software update.

Only thing I can suggest is to see if the serial number is listed somewhere in the software "About" screen etc. and try reinstalling it.
