Bradford & Bingley Home Insurance

My mum's home building and contents insurance renews tomorrow, with Bradford And Bingley. As they're now in government ownership/transferring to Santander does anyone think it's wise to continue?

I phoned on her behalf and was told that their insurance arm was 'owned' separately on their behalf. I'm just concerned that she could pay her annual fee up front and then find the money never gets to the insurer etc. Maybe I'm overly worried about them, but it would be interesting to see the views of others.

Edit - I've seen elsewhere that their insurance is underwritten by others, I'm just unsure about the risks etc, and if anyone knows for sure the details about their insurance arm, and protection etc.

Thank you very much. Rob

In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move.

Thank you Oscar The Grouch, that will save her forking out to pay monthly, rather than lump sum, which was an extra few pounds. Thanks and good luck! Rob
