Info needed for adopted nephew

My nephew has been adopted by my dead sisters husband and now they are not getting on, my nephew is staying with my other sister and she wants to know what should she do if our nephew wants to stay with her, can our nephew leave his adopted dad and does my sister have to contact social services?
any info appreciated

    I think great caution needs to be taken here that an adopted son is still treated as a son. Unless there are reasons we don't know about, then a father/son should be supported to build and maintain a relationship.
    :heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
