prescribed a roll-on cream that was brilliant. it cleared up the acne within a month and i would really urge you to ask your doctor about it
Thanks for the reply Red I actually had this and had a bad reaction - dont know if you have ever seen a picture of someone after they have had a chemical peel? Well thats how I looked - I couldnt even splash my face with water it was that sore
Quinoderm works on the spots that are there but not so good in stopping any more appearing.

Been to the Docs who thinks its stress related he prescribed Quinoderm cream which has made my skin dry and sensitised but acne still there. I am also worried about the scarring being left behind. The doc says next step is medication but I am not too keen and would like to find another way to control or get rid of this.
I have found this - Zeno Acne Clearing Device click for link to their website. Reviews sound amazing - well of course they would! and it has won awards- but I am really interested. It costs about £99 in Boots so is a considered purchase but if it did the job I would gladly pay it.
Would love to hear from anyone who has one or general advice - all replies appreciated

I've got a Zeno!
I didn't have much success at first but after speaking to a friend who has one as well and put me onto it, apparently it's much more effective if you use it three times to see the best results. Personally, I've found that it works well on those awful "hurty" spots that hang around for ages, and getting them as early on as possible helps too.
I'm 35 and have suffered for years. I've used every product under the sun, including very harsh stuff under the care of a dermatologist.
I now have a bit more control with the use of the Zeno, but also using facial care for sensitive skin, such as oils and natural remedies. I think you're quite wise to be seriously considering alternatives to the strong chemicals route.
I hope you find it works for you - feel free to pm if you've got any question later down the line.
(NB I bought mine off fleabay as it was cheaper!)

I read about Zeno (they were also flogging them cheap in Boots at the time - not a hot seller I guess)
The review I read said they were only good for deep, cycstic acne. If you just have whiteheads, it's only going to make them worse. What also irritated me was that you have to keep buying replacement kit for them to keep working.
Have you had a look at this thread yet OP?

Personally, my skin has been bad for 15 years and when it's like mine, medication suddenly sounds a lot better! My regime includes a clinique antibacterial soap (buy with points) and a topical antibiotic called Zineryt which really has helped me.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
