We have a V+ box in our living room, however it is a large room with a very cold bay window (my sofa is in this brrrrr). Now we would like to try not to use any heating for as long as possible due to the price rises. The children have a TV in the playroom which is next door to the lounge, this room is nice and warm. I would like to move into there on cold nights, we have freeveiw but is there some way to extend the v+ box into this room. Please make any suggestions fairly simple thanks.

Get an audio-video sender from Tesco or Argos.
However, they do not work if your V+ box is set to HDMI, but work fine if it is set to Scart. We have the Tristar one from argos - £27.00

The channel on cable box does have to be set to the same channel you are watching in the other room, but the tv does not have to be on.0 -
its on a scart so that won't be a problem,thanks0

Although tv and V+ box are connected via a scart lead, the signal won't transmit to the other room if, within 'Settings' menu on your V+ box, the settings are for HD; the V+ box has to be set to 'Scart' in the settings menu. Hope that makes sense, your box will only be set up for HDsettings if you or an engineer have selected that option in order to watch HD channels, otherwise it'll be set to 'Scart' anyway.
By the way, I think the Tesco one is slightly cheaper (about £25). Also, you can't change channels from the other room (I think you can with some of the Sky boxes and older cable boxes), you need to go back to the original room to change channels.0
