Account Suspended - Breach of Section 8

Hi all

Just got an email from ebay saying my account has been suspended as i have breached section 8!!!

I have no idea what this is. I have been a member since 2001 with a 100% feedback.

Any idea's

Could it be a spoof email? Have you tried logging into Ebay to see if it says anything on there.

8. Breach.

Without limiting our other remedies, we may limit your activity on the Site, immediately issue a warning, suspend or terminate your user registration or any of your item listings and refuse to provide our services to you without notice to you: (a) if you breach this User Agreement or the documents incorporated by reference; (b) if, despite our reasonable endeavours, we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us; or (c) if we believe that your actions may cause us financial loss or legal liability.

Are they not any more specific in the e-mail? Is this the first you've heard from them? (Sure you're really suspended and it's not a scam? )

well my brother cannot log at all - it says your account is suspended.

i can log in but they;ve taken all my items off.

Also all my customer (current and previous) have got emails informimng them that my account has been suspended

What were you selling ? Maybe someone has reported you ?? Probably a silly question but I'll ask anyway. If your brothers account has been suspended too have you been bidding on each others items ?

PSP's - all legit and above board.

I was also taking orders for XBOX 360 which i will start shipping next week.

I think my brother did place 1 bid for me as a joke a while ago - but it was a really small amount and like i said - as a joke

If you two have been using the same computer, ebay might think that your account is being used by your brother after his suspension. That would certainly lead to an automatic suspension of your account.

Is this not similar to a thread last week where someone was suspended for selling PSP's (again, claiming all legitimate ....). I guess if you can produce the receipt for them for ebay they might view it more favourably.

Oh i have the receipts OK. I also have VAT receipts and also have a PSEUDO TURN account issued by the customs.

The funny thing is i can actually log in and start selling again. I've just put one on this minute.
