when switching what happens to credits ?

I'm in credit on both my gas and electric accounts.

If I switch will these be refunded or transferred ? or do I have to get them back myself ?

I have just switched from BG and to be fair they just credited my bank account directly.

I switched from southern electric to Scottish Power and got a nice cheque for £14.34 from SE

Would of prefered more but cant grumble.

Same happened to me. Had a house that was empty and Scottish Power insisted that I kept paying a Direct Debit that was realistic for a house that somebody was living in. By the time I sold the house I was £350 in credit. That was a very nice cheque to get in the post!
