Fixed savings - AA 7.21% is it a good idea?

Hey I have wanting a fixed rate savings account for one year.

Was looking at Bradford and Bingley 6.7% but have now decided against it as don't want to be involved in the Spanish group.

My next options (have been waiting for this to be released on 01/10/08) was Post office at 6.75% as they are part of Bank of Ireland (with bigger protection now - however it is still a passport scheme)

or AA 7.21% who are part of halifax group - adminstered by birmingham midshires.

Anybody had any bad experiences with the Post office or AA savings?
