in Credit cards
Eventhough I have registered with the mail preference service, I still get plenty of junk mail.
All the normal 0% BT's stuff.
The other day, just as I was going to throw one into the bin, I decided to open it.
To my horror, it was a 'bad debt' credit card application.
It was offering me a opening credit limit of £250 and a 'typical' APR of 58%!
(actual APR between 50%-70%)
As I already have a number of credit cards, with limits in the £1000's, doing the 0% shuffle and my nationwide CC for holidays and extended appliance warranties, I was abit bermused.
Does this mean I have suddely been tagged as someone with bad debt?
As my 0% cc is due for renewal at the end of Jan 06, will this mean no more 0% BT's?
HELP!

Nah they have just got your name off a list and mailed you.
Lots of us have had them through.
Even if you are on the mail preference service they can send you stuff if they are part of a larger group of companies you have an existing relationship with and you have not told them to keep you off their own groups mailing list.
Hope that makes sense.

Wasn't vanquis by any chance?
Only the reputable companies screen against MPS, the dodgy dealers just buy mailing lists and send their junk to everyone!0
