got the CCD fault sorted a year ago.now i have a different fault and i wondered if there are any experts out there.not worth repairing as it would be £95 and i've trawled google/forums without an answer.went to a function last week that was badly lit inside ( was a party) and although i could take pics/playback when wanting to take pics you can't see owt ( lcd is totally black and the same with the viewfinder).i rang the people who fixed the orginal fault and they'd not heard of the problem and i was advised to try resetting the settings to factory default before sending it to them which i did but it's the same.taking pics in good light is fine.

I thought the A75 had an optical viewfinder, so if the view is black looking through that, then it's not surprising the LCD is black!Charlie0

Sorry, not sure what a CCD is, perhaps I'm about to tell you something you already know...
My A70 developed a fault where it went 'blind' - nothing showed on the screen, or the pics. Someone here told me it was a known fault and that you can send off to get it fixed free of charge by a canon authorised repairer. I did this. Apparently it's a fault with the wiring that makes it degrade. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

sounds like what i had.it was summat to do with a sensor and when i tried to playback pics i had a blank screen.it was exactly one year ago i got it sorted but i dunno what the problem is now.i can send it off again and just incur p&p charges but if it needs fixing then it'll cost me £95-not worth it seeing as i can get a new camera for that.0
