Heating Control Problems

My temperature control on my GCH seems to be stuck on high heat. It has a small crack through the middle of it and although the dial turns it does not click down (warm but expensive). In addition my programme settings are not fully responsive. The GCH and hot water turns on in conjunction with the settings however the hot water remains on after the setting time although the GCH turns off. Any ideas if this is a simple cheap fix or a more complex problem? Thanks

Is it a separate thermostat or something else? I'm guessing that its a combined unit as you say the programme settings are not fully responsive. If its part of the boiler I'd get a professional in.0
