I've just had an email from Sky Talk about a new deal they are providing as I already have a Sky account, and they claim to be £2 cheaper-ish than BT a month...
Forgive my stupidity, but if I switch to Sky, and are paying them line rental - would I also have to pay BT line rental aswell?

No - you'd just have to pay Sky's call prices for all non-inclusive calls. For 0845 and 0870 calls, they're excessive.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

BT Line Rental Online Billing. £10.50 a month.
BT have to allow you to use Indirect Codes like 18185/1899 ,and to cps your calls to a provider of your choice.
Sky Line Rental. £10.00 a month.
Sky,s NGN Calls are expensive.
Is it worth £6 a year to change ?0
